​Ballet

Students learn Ballet according to their level working on placement, positions, and French terminology.  They develop strength and flexibility while improving coordination and artistry.

​Lyrical/Contemporary

Lyrical combines the beauty, lines, and precision of ballet with modern and contemporary dance techniques in order to create a more fluent and free form of ballet dancing.

​Pointe

Pointe work is an advanced form of ballet that is achieved through many years of training. Pointe shoes and classes will be made available to students with advanced skills in Ballet at the discretion of the instructor.

Modern

This aspect of dance incorporates different modern dance techniques such as Graham, Limon, Horton and Cunningham. Classes normally include floor exercises and many more intricate movements to strengthen dancers and allow them to freely express themselves through movement.

Shoes: None. Barefoot dancing is preferred.

Jazz

Jazz dance is an American form of dance that's used in Broadway Shows, theatrical productions, and on many dance teams across the nation. Styles range from classical jazz (Fosse), to theatrical/Broadway jazz, to competition Jazz, and everything in between, forming well-rounded dancers.

Hip Hop

This style utilizes popping, locking, tutting, and breaking movements among others to combine into today’s most current styles. Hip Hop dance includes a wide range of "street" dancing styles that are/were traditionally associated with the birth of Hip Hop culture in 1970's New York City.

​Tap

Also utilized in many Broadway shows, tap dancing combines noise with rhythm and coordinated movement. It awakens the audience's and dancer's auditory sense while providing aesthetically pleasing movement with minor tendon and muscle development in the feet.

Preschool Dance and Gymnastics

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip hop and basic Gymnastic mat work combine to enhance the strength and coordination in our younger students. It builds and prepares them for their future in and out of dance classes!

Shoes: Ballet Slippers, Tap Shoes, and Jazz Slippers if applicable.
